Local MP Andrew Bingham has enlisted the support of Glossop Business Network in holding a meeting for local businesses, to discuss the proposed solution and forthcoming consultation on the Mottram Moor Relief Road and Glossop Spur.

The meeting will be held at 6pm on Friday 18 November at Bradbury House, and Andrew is keen for as many business owners and proprietors as possible to attend. The meeting has been arranged for 6pm so that people can attend straight from work, and it is not anticipated to last any longer than two hours.

Andrew said:

"Local people flocked to the recent Highways England Awareness Event to support the case for the proposed solution and possible extension. As Highways England continue their work, I feel it is important that we make a collective submission from the businesses across the whole of the Glossop area.

"I am grateful to Kathy Ford of Glossop Business Network for her help in setting up this meeting, and I would urge as many businesses as possible - regardless of size - to send along a representative. I can then use this as further evidence of the need for a solution."

Andrew added:

"If any businesses would like to support this but are unable to attend the meeting, please let me know, so that I know of your support. A collective submission from Glossop businesses will carry great weight, both with Highways England and Ministers, and the more businesses we have supporting it, the better."
